A few words
About me
As a design critic I have the privilege of indulging my lifelong passion for interiors, architecture and objects.
All my best childhood memories centre around aesthetics. The grandfather clock standing guard in my grandparents’ hallway, the stencils on my bedroom walls, the old castle ruins, not far from my cousin’s house – the most likely place to find me, if missing at dinner.
Philosopher George Steiner describes criticism as “ordered sight” – not simply declaring what is good or bad but helping audiences see more clearly.
And that’s what I try to cultivate every day: offering people kaleidoscope glasses with which they can view design through diverse perspectives – helping them draw their own conclusions about the aesthetics, the craft and the sector in general.
